Will asked me tonight if back in the old timey days people's faces and bodies were really just black and white and not color.

MAX: Do you know what rhymes with hang?......dang. You know, like when you hang a picture on the wall and then you realize that you hung it upside down and then you say "dang"

Getting the kids out the door in the morning for school and me for work often leaves us rushed, and getting out of bed late doesn't help. So the other day, as we walked to school:
DAD: I really need to get up earlier.
WILL: Yeah, Dad, I have to wake you up every morning.
DAD: I know. I set my alarm, but it is set to the radio so it doesn't really wake me up.
MAX: Dad, I know what you can do. You can wear a boxing glove to bed, and when you hear the radio in the morning, punch yourself in the face and then you will wake up.

Max: "Dad, you are power level 1 and I am power level infinity"

"this tastes like wood"
MAX upon biting into an organic, meatless "hotdog"

WILL : "You keep having birthday's after you are dead, you just don't celebrate them anymore."

MAX: "Dad, your breath smells like dead flies"

after playing tag around the Serra...again...the boys created a fort with a few friends at the Olympic Sculpture Park beach

rather than whine about global warming, Max and Will decided to make some icebergs of their own, re-cool the planet, and give back some much needed habitat to a few plastic animals
