because Will and Max will be in Pittsburgh for Christmas, dad text messaged santa at the north pole and requested that he fly down to seattle 2 weeks early to bring the boys their gifts--and the good man obliged. Will and mom made some cookies and set them out (along w/ some apple juice). Will was pumped. as he went to bed he asked "will I hear santa when he comes?" in the morning he told us that he had heard santa and when we came downstairs we saw what he had left for us--2 airplanes, a few books, a guitar, some bath toys, a marble race game and an electric toothbrush with Tow Mader on it. santa was even nice enough to bring the train table that nana and papa bought for him through craigslist. wired throughout the morning, Will eventually focused his energies creatively by breaking into an abstract, guitar-accompanied ABC song serenade of Max.
