Will removed his training wheels and two weeks later, on August 2nd, 2009, traveled over 200 feet on his own.

Max refused to hug Will, and when Will told Max that he loved him, Max replied "no, you're bad." Will was hurt and very upset by these actions and through his tears exclaimed later "if Max never loves anyone he will never get married and never have kids and he will be by himself for the rest of his life."

Max, when asked "what is your favorite kind of flower?" replied "dead flowers."

Our first weekend in August was spent in Mt Rainier National Park. Sunny, snowy, buggy, flowery, all in the shadow of the big dormant volcano.
